Hi all! Back with something different today.
Instead of sharing my favorite recipe, I’m talking about my favorite place for drinks & snacks.
I’m mixing it up, once a month or maybe twice a month (pretty loose schedule here if you haven’t noticed) I’ll be writing about my favorite places for food/drinks. Cleveland based for now, unless I decide to be adventurous and travel somewhere else! Right now a warm sunny beach sounds perfect…we’ve reached the days of never ending gloom in lovely Cleveland.
Ending the intro, on with the awesomeness of Cloak & Dagger!
You can’t help but feel trendy when you walk into the doors. From the seating to the black painted walls to the lighting, everything feels cozy and sophisticated. I sat in the lounge and still felt included in the atmosphere even though it’s off in the corner.
If you sit outside (remember patio season? It won’t be cold forever!) there’s trendy lighting and it’s right across from the park!
I’m all for scanning QR codes but there’s just something about holding a physical menu. Along with their rotating drink/food menu, their illustrated menu changes too. The font is mystic-like and matches the font of the name. Love the thought put into the menu!
Along with cocktails they also offer spirit-free cocktails. Which are just as elaborate as their other drinks. Also a great option if you want a second drink but don’t want to go all out.
The food is 100% vegan. On half the menu is very ‘vegan food’ (aka these blueberry goat cheese chicken skewers) and the other half of the menu is more snacky food, like popcorn or fries or mixed nuts. You could definitely order dinner, it’s not just snacks.
The flavor of the chicken was great and I loved all the blueberries. Coming from someone who doesn’t eat vegan meat, I wasn’t a huge fan of the texture. Next time I’ll stick with the French fries.
After the drink name, there’s 3 key description words. This held up when getting the drink, description was spot on. I wish I remembered what drinks we got but all I remember is how good they tasted!
If you’re lucky enough to snag a reservation you’ll enjoy some great drinks and a lovely atmosphere. It’s obvious how much time and thought is put into everything Cloak & Dagger offers. Cheers!
